About Me

Who are you?

My name is Elizabeth Saxton and I am a youth services librarian in Ohio.  I have been a librarian for about ten years and my specialty is teen services.  I have worked with all ages and have a soft spot for preschoolers as well as teens.

I consider myself a generalist as opposed to a “techie librarian” or a “book person” but I seem to have the most original things to say on the subjects of reader’s advisory, programming, and technology.

What kinds of things do you post?

I like talking about books, especially talking about books in the context of getting them into the hands of teenagers.  I try to review books for with those doing RA with teens in mind. I wanted to branch out a little bit from just posting reviews, so they’ll be  some program ideas,  some display ideas and anything else that catches my attention and I think you might find useful. People often request my one minute booktalks, so I’ll probably be posting some of those as well.
